Esperanza Azteca is a social program for underprivileged boys and girls, ages 5 through 17, created by Ricardo B. Salinas Pliego and operated by “Fundación Azteca”.

We have started 82 orchestras and choirs, at 79 states of Mexico, two in El Salvador and one in the United States. We began in 2009 and we’re still growing.  About 16,000 young people, together with 1300 teachers, develop important values through music, such as discipline, the pursuit of excellence and teamwork.

The result is that our boys and girls significantly improve their self-esteem. Additionally, they inspire their families and communities. This is the best way to strengthen our social fabric.

Esperanza Azteca represents an important alliance that includes society, the Mexican Congress, the Mexican Federal Government, state governments, local trusts, “Grupo Salinas” and “Fundación Azteca”.
